Dr. Irene Caloi

Irene Caloi is lecturer of Italian language and linguistics at the Department of Romance languages and literatures (Goethe University Frankfurt). She completed her PhD in 2016 with a thesis on the syntactic deficit in speakers with cognitive impairments. Her research interests include L2 teaching and learning, with a specific focus on the acquisition of syntactic structures. As a NegLaB member, Irene Caloi is principal investigator in project B02, investigating the nature of negative concord items and their acquisition by L2 learners.
