Prof. Dr. Jacopo Torregrossa

Jacopo Torregrossa is Professor of Multilingualism and Second Language Acquisition at the Department of Romance Languages (Goethe University Frankfurt). His research focuses on multilingual language acquisition, with particular focus on how bi-/multiliteracy exposure affects multilingual children’s linguistic and cognitive development. Furthermore, he has an expertise on the acquisition of linguistic phenomena at the interface between syntax and discourse among bilingual as well as monolingual children. He is involved as PI or collaborator in several projects involving bilingual language acquisition.
