Group Internal Grants
Network funds for short-term collaborations:
In order to foster interdisciplinarity and scientific independence, we provide an infrastructure for networking and exchange between the members of the two groups of early career researchers, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, and also across the two groups and across the different areas of the CRC.
Doctoral researchers can profit personally and scientifically from interaction with postdocs. But postdocs can also profit from exchange with the doctoral researchers and gain initial experience in supervising PhD candidates. Postdocs can expand their scientific networks and gain visibility in the international scientific community.
We offer yearly 6 grants each in the amount of 500€ to enable collaborative research projects including doctoral and postdoctoral reseachers.
- ➞ A short project proposal (max. 2 pages) including: topic of collaboration, project description and goals, involved projects, post-docs and doctoral researchers (if involved), planned expenses. To appply and to get further information
Short-term stay abroad funds:
In order to foster international collaborations, we offer funding for short-term stays of 3 months for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers of CRC in order to enable them to establish a research collaboration with colleagues at international universities or to complement their qualification. Each short-term stay should be coordinated with the principal investigators of the respective research project and the supervisor (in the case of doctoral researchers). The application should include a detailed description of the planned activities as well as confirmation from a researcher at the receiving institution. A detailed list of the required documents could be seen below.
- ➞ A letter of invitation from the the hosting university including the duration of the planned stay
- ➞ A letter of confirmation of the research stay from the supervisor of the affiliated university
- ➞ A short description/proposal of the planned research at the host institution (1-2 pages)
- ➞ A financial plan including an approximate calculation of the travel and accommodation expenses up to 5000 €. To appply and to get further information
Group External Grants
Short-term Fellowships:
In order to integrate young international researchers into the projects of this Collaborative Research Centre, we offer short-term fellowships for international doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from abroad who apply with their own project ideas related to the research focus of the CRC. Every year, we will announce 3 four months fellowships.

SHORT-TERM FELLOWSHIPS at the Collaborative Research Center 1629 “Negation in language and beyond” (NegLaB)
- ➞ Cover letter (including contact details and information regarding motivation and CRC research domain/project for collaboration)
- ➞ Research proposal connected to the topic of negation (max. 3 pages A4, incl. references)
- ➞ CV (including information on MA degree, PhD topic, etc. and, if applicable, list of publications and conference presentations)
- ➞ Two names and contact details of referees who may be contacted by the search committee by e-mail
- ➞ Copy of the certificates of the university degrees (MA degree, PhD Degree)
